In May, Downeast CU & Downeast Insurance donated 219 pounds of backpack snacks to area food pantries! Our Ending Hunger Committee held the Food Drive in the Downeast lobbies. This is about 14 bankers boxes filled with crackers, granola bars and other goodies which went to: Woodland Food Pantry, cash contribution to MECUL’s Ending Hunger Campaign, No Greater Love Food Pantry, Irene Chadbourne Food Pantry, Labor of Love, Richmond Food Pantry, Bowdoinham Food Pantry, and the Waldo County School Pantries.
