Branch Relationship Manager

We are searching for a Branch Relationship Manager to be housed in Richmond. The chosen candidates will become an advocate for our membership and will assist our team in accomplishing all objectives associated with the “People helping People” philosophy.

Position Purpose:
Build strong member connections, drive sales of credit union products and ensures member satisfaction by understanding financial needs, offering personalized solutions, resolving issues, and fostering loyalty, while also leading/supporting branch teams and meeting financial targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Member Relationship Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with existing and new members. Conduct needs assessments, provide tailored financial advice, and offer personalized solutions to meet member goals.
  • Sales & Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, and actively seeking new members, cross-sell credit union products (loans, accounts, investments), and achieve branch sales targets.
  • Financial Advisory: Manage the branch’s budget and control expenses. Analyze financial performance, prepare reports, and forecast financial needs for the future.
  • Customer Service relation: Resolve complex member issues, address inquiries promptly, and ensure a high level of member satisfaction.
  • Branch Operations management: Manage the day-to-day activities of the branch to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. Collaborate with branch staff, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with policies and procedures industry regulations, and applicable laws. Identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Staff supervision: Recruit, train, and manage branch team members, which includes setting performance goals, conducting monthly one on one meetings, and providing coaching and motivation.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track sales metrics, maintain client records, and report on performance to management.
  • Community engagement: Promote the company’s brand by maintaining a positive, visible presence in the local community.

We are searching for a Temporary Member Service Representative from May – August/September 2026. The chosen candidate will become an advocate for our membership and will assist our team in accomplishing all objectives associated with the “People helping People” philosophy.

Position Purpose:

  • Temporarily serve as a liaison between the members and the credit union.
  • Provide account information by phone or in person, as well as information on the full range of credit union products and services.
  • Resolve issues and professionally handle the members’ daily needs.
  • Provide a variety of transactional services to members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
  • Provide in-person and by-telephone general and specific service-related information concerning credit union services or policies, including types of available accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options and other related services and fees associated with transactions.
  • Respond to email or other electronic requests submitted by members, again providing professional, prompt, efficient, and accurate service, and information.
  • Respond to members’ requests, problems, and complaints, and | or direct them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance.
  • Performs routine member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, CD transactions, transfers, check cashing, and Visa payments.
  • Promote credit union products and services based on members’ needs.
  • Process member mail | night drop transactions.
  • Research accounts for deposit, withdrawal, and loan payment discrepancies.
  • Assist members in balancing their accounts.
  • Assist members with automatic transfers and scheduling of payments.
  • Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide members with the forms necessary to transact business with the credit union.
  • Verifies transactions and monitors deposit amounts and examines documents for endorsement and negotiability.
  • Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions. Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly.
  • Represents and explains credit union services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs.
  • Assumes responsibility of cross-selling of all credit union products & services to help meet the financial needs of our members.
  • Performs specifically assigned side jobs and assist other staff with duties as required.
  • Answers questions and solves problems for members by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers, and reporting results to the inquiring party.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
  • Ensures that the work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Follow safety and security rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people including fellow team members, members, management, board members and outside vendors.
  • Maintain knowledge of all State and Federal regulations that are applicable to the transactions performed in the cashier/teller area.
  • Protect and respect credit union equipment and supplies.
  • Adhere to and uphold all written policies and procedures of the credit union, including BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting, security operation and personnel policies.
  • Completely fill out CTR’s and SARS when needed.
  • Ensure that all credit union members and team members related business is kept in the strictest confidence.
  • Treat all credit union members and team members with a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Assist with cleaning of the branch daily.

The preferred requirements are as follows:
• Will provide training and education to the ideal candidate who is a great cultural fit, even though no experience in the financial industry is necessary
• A strong knowledge of the internet and Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate and cross service CU products
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team player who is self-motivated, organized, detail oriented/multi-tasker
• Kind, caring and passionate in helping others
• Actively participating and contributing within your local community
• High-School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification

The work schedule for this Temporary MSR position is full-time from May – August/September 2026 and offers a generous base salary and benefits.
