Downeast Credit Union and Insurance Announces Partnership with Alley Racing for 2026 Season

Downeast Credit Union & Insurance is proud to announce a new partnership with Alley Racing for the 2026 Speedway racing season, featuring a full sponsorship of Alley Racing Car #24 Super Street driven by Jeff Alley and son Reese.

The partnership includes a full custom Downeast Credit Union & Insurance wrap on the team’s race car and trailer, highlighting the credit union’s commitment to helping local families with Auto Loans, Insurance, Mortgages, and other financial services designed to keep hard-earned money in members’ wallets.

“We were truly honored when Jeff and Reese approached us about this opportunity,” said Branch Manager, Miranda Moffett. “The more conversations we had, the more we realized how naturally our organizations align. Their reputation, commitment to the community, and approach to representing sponsors reflects the same values we strive to live every day at Downeast.”

Alley Racing is well known throughout the Machias region and beyond for its involvement in community events, youth activities, and local outreach efforts. In addition to racing at Speedway, the Alley family regularly participates in events like Trick or Treat Down Main Street and youth activities at the Pellon Center.

“We race for the people in the stands and the folks back home, so partnering with a Maine organization that invests in those same communities just makes sense,” said Jeff Alley, driver of the No. 24. “Downeast has built a real reputation for showing up for local programs, and we’re proud to carry their name on the car.”

As part of the sponsorship, Alley Racing will participate in a Meet & Greet event at Downeast Credit Union & Insurance’s Machias branch, located at 211 Main Street, on Thursday, June 11 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM (weather permitting, check our Facebook page for updates). Members and community members will have the opportunity to see the #24 race car up close, enjoy refreshments, meet the Alley family, and learn more about the upcoming racing season at Speedway in Hermon. Families are encouraged to bring their kids for fun, games, and photos with the car. The Speedway racing season runs from June 6 through October 11.

Downeast also plans to actively support Alley Racing throughout the season through social media promotion, member communications, website features, race attendance by staff, and community engagement activities.

The partnership will also tie into Downeast’s “Ending Hunger in Maine” initiative through select Speedway Race Days and employee participation efforts designed to support neighbors in need.
