FRAUD NOTICE: Fake Microsoft Pop-Up Scams
Scammers are using fake Microsoft pop-ups to trick people into thinking their computer has a virus or has been locked. These alerts are designed to create panic and convince you to call a fake “Microsoft Support” number or give scammers remote access to your computer. Protect yourself:
If you think you’ve encountered one of these scams, close your browser if possible or restart your computer. If you shared personal or financial information, contact Downeast Credit Union right away.
