New Phone Systems

On the evening of Tuesday, November 12, 2019, Downeast Credit Union and Downeast Insurance will be upgrading their phone systems.

The organizations will be conducting the phone upgrade after hours and members should not see any down time with our phone system or the Audio Response Line.

The new phone system will allow the Downeast team to enhance the experience for members and clients with faster response times. Phones will now be answered by the branch or department that the member is calling. The new system allows for larger workgroups to answer phone calls and faster transfers to internal departments.

One change that callers will experience is the initial greeting from an automated directory to quickly forward calls to the department you are seeking. While these items in the directory may change, below are four main options in the directory:

  1. For account inquiries, transactions, or assistance with your account PRESS 1
  2. To request a loan PRESS 2
  3. To speak with an insurance agent PRESS 3
  4. For a dial by name directory PRESS 4

For all other requests, callers are advised to stay on the line and a Downeast team member will assist them.
