Youth Savings Programs

Monty Moose Youth Savings Program (for ages 2 through 12)

A fun way to teach our youngest members to save. A Monty Moose Youth Savers account can be opened with $1.00. Our youngest members will receive 2 Moose Bucks for their first deposit when they become eligible to participate in the program at age two. Moose Bucks may be used to purchase items at "Monty's Trading Post" located in each of the eight Down East Credit Union branches.

Deposits over $1.00 earn the following Monty Moose Bucks

Cash Control Program (for ages 13 through 18)

This account is a youth's next step toward learning to manage their finances. For every deposit over $10, their name will be entered in our $50 quarterly drawing.

With a parent or guardian, a Cash Control member can open a checking account. Cash Control members can learn how to maintain a checking account and establish and manage credit. An ATM card can also be requested.
