Share Savings Account

This is the first account you will open at Down East Credit Union. The minimum opening deposit is $5 and the balance can not go below that. The five dollars represents your share in the credit union, every member must have a Share Savings Account.

How to Open a Savings Account

To apply for a DECU Visa card, please mail, fax, or deliver the following completed documents to any of our branch offices:

Money Market Draft Account

This draft account gives you total flexibility and liquidity as well as competitive rates. All that is required is that you maintain a $2500.00 balance. You may write up to three checks per month and there is no limit on over the counter withdrawals.

Share Certificate Accounts

Offers terms from six to sixty months, all at competitive rates.

Monty Moose Youth Savers Program

For ages 2 through 12

A fun way to teach our youngest members to save. A Monty Moose Youth Savers account can be opened with $1.00. Learn more about this program.
