Shared Branching Coming Soon

Soon Down East Credit Union members will be able to conduct their transactions at more than 3,000 credit unions nationwide, with over 70 locations in Maine. Look for the Credit Union Service Center "Swirl" logo that indicate the credit union is part of the Shared Branching Network. Members will need to provide their account number and valid photo ID. Most transactions you can do at your own credit union branch can be conducted at a Shared Branching location including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, balance inquiries, payments and more.

DECU retains Top Fund Raiser title

May 2008

For the second year in a row the team from Down East Credit Union as the honor of being the top fund raising team at the Washington County Relay for Life. The team consist of employees, family and friends from the Baileyville, Calais and Machias branches. A huge part of the funds raised this year was provided by a beautiful Red Sox quilt donated by Gayle Moholland in honor and memory of Michelle Clark. The winning ticket had another beautiful element when the purchaser indicated on the ticket to give the quilt to Michelle's mom. We thank all who helped us raise money for this very worthwhile cause.

Bowdoinham and Richmond Relay for Life

On a beautiful but chilly May evening the team from Down East Credit Union's Bowdoinham and Richmond offices walked all night to help raise money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. The ladies were joined by friends and family as they walked to remember those touched by cancer, celebrate those who have survived and to help raise money to Fight Back.
