Basic Checking

Account Features:

To Qualify:

  1. Must meet membership eligibility requirements
  2. $5 minimum opening share deposit to become a member
  3. $20 minimum to open a checking account

WEST Account :: All Points Checking

Account Features:

  • Includes all the features of our Basic Checking plus:
  • If the $50 minimum balance is maintained the $1 monthly service fee is waived

To Qualify:

  1. $50 minimum to open checking account
  2. Must be an active account with $50 minimum balance*

EAST Account :: All Points Checking

Account Features:

  • Interest bearing checking account, earning .05% Annual Percentage Yield

*Active account is an account with 6 or more transactions a month.
** Direct Deposit must be a minimum of $100 per week.
*** Interest bearing account. The East account earns interest. The South Accounts earns a higher rate of interest than The East Account. The North Account is the highest interest bearing account. Rates are variable and subject to change.
**** East, South and North Accounts will earn a higher dividend rate on New Share Certificates and IRA Share Certificates.

How to Open a Checking Account

To apply for a DECU checking account, please do the following:

1. Review our Membership Agreement & Disclosures.

2. Mail, fax, or deliver a completed Share Draft Account Application to any of our branch offices.
